Project Overview

The Thermal Panel Welding Machine is a system consisting of a press which clamps two halves of a rectangular thermal panel together, two welder positioning systems where each drives a welder along two sides of the panel, and a transport system to move panel components into the machine and draw finished product out.

Our staff member designed the welder positioning system and performed the deflection analysis used to validate the design, and insure that the welder would not deflect excessively throughout its travel.
